Fuel and charcoal production as the primary source of fuel for cooking has led to excessive tree cutting for fuel. This all leads to soil erosion and impact on climate change. The Forestry program teaches the value of trees and model farmers demonstrate that through agro-forestry techniques it not only saves the environment but actually significantly improves the farmers income.
